Prompt - 1/5/11

Author's note: This is a response to the prompt asking me to discuss the main character of my book: Oathbreaker: Assassins Apprentice.

Aron is worried about the tragic event of being stolen to reinforce the Stone Guild's army and be trained as an assassin, but is happy about the fact that he will be trained in raising livestock next year if he is not taken. Unfortunately, he is taken in the third chapter. Nic is upset because his sister just died, and the rest of his family except for his mom were killed in the same manner by some deep-acting poison.

All this tells me that Aron is quite good with animals, and will soon become an assassin. It also tells me that Nic is probably in danger. The theme so far seems to be tragedy, although the first chapter was probably romance.

  2. What book are you reading? I would like to read it Your description is very good. And the comparison between chapters is a good quality in the finding the modes of writing in a book.

  4. Your descriptions were pretty good. You should remember to include an author's note. For the author's note, you can clarify what prompt this piece was on.

  5. Your topic sentence and your title could have been more creative. However, I like how you talk about modes of literature. You should include an Authors Note.
